I am seriously concerned with the callousness of the receptionists. They are incredibly unsympathetic and dismissive on the phone. I have cried twice out of frustration with them, when I desperately needed. Doctors are good but am looking for a different surgery if I can. I think these receptionists can actually be harmful to people when they call in sick and are turned away so rudely. I dread having to call them.
Extremely rude receptionist on the home visits! Called at 12pm for one of my clients that has been poorly for the last 4 weeks & has been on antibiotics for the past 2 weeks. He didn't want to make a fuss or bother anybody but agreed to a home visit after much persuasion. The receptionist spoke to him like a piece of dirt on her shoe and asked him why he never called before 11:30 because all the home visits have now been arranged for today! Her attitude was awful. How anybody can speak to vulnerable old/sick people like that is beyond me. I'm glad I'm not with this practice!!
Seriously rude receptionists - snappy and surly when asking questions, checking in and booking appointments. Got an irritable lecture from one when I asked for vaccinations with less than 8 weeks notice. Stroppy on one occastion because I thought I had to pay for a service I didnt know was covered on NHS. Not exactly service with a smile. Makes me feel bad for making them do their job. Great service by the other staff though! Doctors and nurses are friendly knowledgeable and helpful. Shame its repeatedly let down by a completely unacceptable level of customer service by their receptionists.
I have found that this is a MUCH better practice than these reviews may suggest. We recently moved into the area and the staff and Doctors have shown great kindness and practical concern in supporting my husband who has dementia. This is SO much better than we experienced elsewhere in the health service in Warrington where the level of care was ZERO. There have been a few issues but they are in services beyond the control of the surgery and no different from the wider NHS issues met elsewhere. At least you can usually get an appointment within 2 weeks here. We have previously had to wait upto 4 weeks finding that patients were making appointments "in case they needed one" then not turning up.
Anybody trying today their system is down. After a lot of attempts we finally got through. Hope it's not another national health hack. Have found staff including receptionist sympathetic if I explain things properly and usually try to help get me in asap if serious.
