I spent the evening at the cookhouse & pud attached to the premier inn were we celebrated my daughters birthday with family we had Gemma as our host an she was amazing nothing was to much trouble she made my daughters birthday. Wonderful service great food with just the right amount of time between courses to enjoy company. Great value for money an a wonderful friendly member of staff thanks Gemma your a credit to you employers
Really good food. Pity about the long wait for it. Much quicker service when it was the woodpecker. Needs to quicken up a lot on waiting time
The rooms and the hotel were nice. I have been here before and had an amazing time and the staff were nice. But the staff today for at the restaurant is rude. There were no options and every time we asked for something she told us no we dont have (no yoghurt any flavor! No pancake, no coffee cup to take a way and there is no water even! Only thing the offered was cereal and milk! So dont be fooled about the breakfast!
Have stayed multiple times for business purposes. Always accommodating and friendly. Good rooms. Some have baths others only shower, so you may want to check this. Also, I have stayed in one of their access rooms for wheelchair users. I do not use a wheelchair, but from what I saw, I thought the accessibility and the large washroom looked fit for purpose. The breakfast is lovely. Definitely a must if you stay here.
Good example. All rooms kept clean. Pub attached is good and staff are friendly. Sometimes slow service but forthcoming with compensatory drinks.
